Get your mask on!
In 2011, we developed a campaign to promote a graphic horror novel at the Sitges International Film Festival. Thousands of masks portraying a zombie head were handed out during the Zombie Walk event.
Each year, the organization provides make-up artists for attendees, but due to the magnitude of this event, many people can’t get their make-up done on time. With the promotional masks, countless zombies could line the streets for that special night without having to queue for hours.
Anyone who showed the mask in selected bookstores in Barcelona got a discount on the graphic novel. Sales were significantly boosted in the months following the campaign.
